- i graduated from nursing school in 1994, worked as a nurse until i delivered my first child, billy, in 2001. i then took a hiatus from nursing for 7 years to have 2 more children (carly and casey)and raise them. when the youngest went to school in 2008, i decided to go back to work in our local hospital in the adult ICU, and have recently taken the plunge and transfered to the ER. i work the night shift, so i can be around for the kids as much as possible.
